JMTA students playing Aegon ITF at Roehampton

Roehampton – The 2nd day’s results are up at the Grade 1 Aegon ITF at Roehampton.  This is the prep tournament for the Wimbledon Juniors.  In the boys draw are 28 of the top 30 players in the world are entered; on the girls side 17 of the top 30 players are entered. 

Noah Rubin is through to the round of 16 in singles and doubles.  He beat a tough Japanese kid in the 1st round 7-6 (1), 7-5 and followed that with a routine 6-4, 7-5 win over the #14 seed Nicolas Jarry of Chile.

Jamie Loeb won her 1st round 7-5, 6-1 over a Lithuanian girl; then lost a heart-breaking 7-5, 6-4 to the #2 seed from the Czech Republic.  Jamie won her doubles today and is the round of 16.
