JMTA’s Felipe Osses-Konig Commits to Elon University

We are excited to share the news that Felipe Osses-Konig has announced his plan to attend Elon (N.C.) University and play tennis for the Phoenix next fall.

Felipe, who has been training at JMTA since 2010, is currently ranked 19th in the East. “Based on Felipe’s talents as a tennis player and his outstanding character, he had some excellent scholarship opportunities,” said Lawrence Kleger, Director of the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. “I think Elon University is a good fit for Felipe and I am confident that the team, the athletic department and academic community there will be delighted to have him.”

JMTA recently become more familiar with Elon’s impressive program when recent Elon grad, Cameron Silverman, began training at JMTA, which is now his home-base when he is not competing in professional tournaments.

We wish Felipe continued success in this next stages of his academic and tennis careers.
