Wael Kilani
Wael, originally from Tunis, Tunisia, was a highly-ranked player in all junior divisions in his home country. He played in the Davis Cup for Tunisia, and was the Men’s African Doubles Champion. Wael competed in three junior Grand Slams, and won the Prince Cup Juniors in Miami, Florida, as well as several ITF Junior tournaments. Beginning in 2008, Wael attended the University of South Florida, where he played #1 singles for the men’s team. He led USF to its first Big East Conference title and was named Big East Freshman of the Year. Wael achieved a ranking in the top-50 nationally, in both singles and doubles, and in the top-10 in singles in the Southeast region. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from USF in 2012. In 2016, he joined the Tunisian Tennis Federation as a Tunisian National Coach, working with the B14 and B16 divisions, and captained the Tunisian National B14 team to an African Championship title, and to a World Cup berth. He was also selected by the ITF to coach top junior players on the ITF Junior Circuit. In 2016, he served as the coach of the Tunisian Fed Cup team, and worked with ATP and WTA players. Wael joined the SPORTIME team in 2017.
