Alvaro Huete Vadillo

Alvaro, originally from Madrid, Spain, began playing tennis at the age of four. He was ranked as high as #6 in the B18 division in Spain and #100 nationally, and in 2019 he was a Spanish National Team Champion. Beginning in 2019, he attended Butler University, where he played for the men’s tennis team. Over the course of his college tennis career, he earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors in both 2022 and 2023, was ranked #52 nationally in NCAA Division I doubles in 2023, and was named singles Player of the Week. Alvaro earned seven doubles Team of the Week selections, posted a 14-match win streak and helped Butler reach the conference finals in 2022. He also reached the semifinals of the 2022 ITA Ohio Valley Regionals in doubles and the semifinals of the 2023 La Jolla Doubles Championship. Alvaro graduated from BU with a bachelor’s degree in international business, and joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2024.
