Chelsea has been a key member of the SPORTIME family for over 20 years. She provides management and support for multiple SPORTIME facilities, including Bethpage Tennis, Lynbrook, Syosset and Roslyn. Her vast experience in SPORTIME operations and customer service make her a valuable member of the team that will oversee the management at Port Washington.

Ryan, originally from Westbury, NY, played club Baseball for the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. For the past 7 years, he has served as Assistant General Manager for our flagship tennis facility in NYC, SPORTIME Randall's Island. Ryan is back on the Island and excited to lead our team at Port Washington.

Mike, a native of Long Island, was one of the top ranked juniors in the country prior to attending Bowling Green State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. At Bowling Green, Mike led the men’s tennis team to two Mid-American Conference Championships and became the most successful player in the history of the program. After graduating, Mike quickly became one of the top junior coaches in the east, developing numerous nationally ranked players, while earning a Master’s Degree in Physical Education. He has competed and coached extensively in ITF tournaments around the world. Mike joined SPORTIME in 2000, became Director of the JMTA's first Long Island site, at SPORTIME Syosset, in 2012, and, as of the launch of JMTA's newest location at SPORTIME Port Washington in 2023, the Regional Director of JMTA Long Island.

Jay, a native of Lexington, Ohio, joined SPORTIME and JMTA in 2010, where he has coached multiple Gold Ball winners and New York State champions, and has helped to place over 250 players onto college tennis teams. Prior to moving to New York in 2010, Jay was the Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Brown University for eight years. He was the most successful tennis coach in the Brown Tennis program’s 100-plus year history, leading the team to its highest ever national ranking, #33, two Ivy League Titles, and seven consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2005, Jay was named the Northeast Region Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the National Coach of the Year award. He coached five singles players and 15 doubles teams to national rankings, including one team that achieved All-American status. Two of his players at Brown collectively picked up ATP tour wins against Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Preceding Jay’s years at Brown were six seasons as the Head Coach at Bowling Green State University where he was named the 2002 Mid-American Conference Coach of the Year after leading the team to MAC titles in 2000 and 2002. Jay was a successful collegiate player at the University of Cincinnati, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He later earned his Master’s degree in Sports Psychology and Sports Management from Miami University, where he also served as an assistant coach for the women’s team, winning a MAC title in 1996.

David Radisch has been one of the major promoters of Pickleball on Long Island for over 6 years. He is the founder and administrator of Nassau-Suffolk Pickleball facebook group. David became an IPTPA certified pickleball instructor 4 years ago. Previously he has instructed at Bethpage Park Tennis and the prestigious 92Y in Manhattan. In addition to him being a top-rated instructor David is well known for his Pickleball Events and Tournaments which he is excited to continue with at SPORTIME Port Washington.

Mike hails from the United Kingdom and has been a coach for more than 30 years. As a coach and tennis consultant worldwide, he has worked and delivered training in over 80 countries, supporting the development of tennis on five continents. Mike has been a keynote speaker at three ITF Worldwide Conferences and has presented at multiple USPTA World Conferences, PTR International Symposia, and National Conferences, and is a regular contributor to the ATP/WTA Pro Course. Mike was the author of the ITF Tennis10s manual, the Official U10 Program of many nations across the globe. His previous roles include Director of Tennis at MatchPoint in Southampton, England, and Director of Junior Tennis at the West Hants Club in Bournemouth, England. A Level Five LTA Coach, PTR Professional, and USPTA P1, Mike was also an LTA Master Tutor, ITF Expert, and PTR World Professional of the Year in 2007. In 2022 he was recognized as a PTR International Master Professional. He joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2022, bringing his coaching and coach education background to the key role of developing our coaching staff and enhancing our programs across the Company.

John McEnroe

Founder and Director, JMTA

John McEnroe is one of the greatest tennis players of all time. He held the #1 world ranking in singles for 170 weeks between 1980 and 1985 and was the #1 doubles player in the world for a record 257 weeks. He is the winner of 7 Grand Slam singles titles, including 4 US Open titles and 3 Wimbledon titles. He is also widely considered to be the greatest doubles player ever, having won 10 Grand Slam doubles titles. He is the greatest Davis Cup player in history, and he also captained the US Davis Cup Team. He is an Emmy-nominated commentator for CBS, NBC, BBC, ESPN and USA. John grew up in New York City, where he graduated from the Trinity School. He attended Stanford University, winning an NCAA team and singles title his freshman year. He continues to live in New York City, where he has raised his 6 children. John partnered with SPORTIME to open the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in September 2010.

Patrick grew up in Douglaston, NY and trained in the New York area. As a junior, he reached the semifinals of Wimbledon and the US Open boys' singles in 1983. Patrick then partnered Luke Jensen to win the French Junior doubles and the USTA Boys' 18 National and Clay Court titles in 1984. He made his first impact on the professional tour that same year, teaming up with brother John to win the doubles title at Richmond, Virginia. Patrick won the Men's Doubles Gold medal at the 1987 Pan American Games with Jensen, and helped Stanford University, as team captain, win the NCAA team championship in 1986 and 1988. He graduated from Stanford in 1988 with a degree in political science, and then joined the professional tennis tour. On the tour, Patrick won one singles title and 16 doubles titles, including the 1989 French Open Men's Doubles title, during his 10‐year professional career, and achieved career‐high rankings of World No. 28 in singles and World No. 3 in doubles. After retiring from the tour in 1998, Patrick had a successful run as U.S. Davis Cup captain, the longest tenured captain in U.S. history, winning the cup in 2007. After leaving his Davis Cup role in 2010, McEnroe focused on his television commentary work, and also served as the General Manager of Player Development for the USTA until mid-2015. Patrick joined SPORTIME and JMTA in 2017.

Ben was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, where he first started playing tennis. He is a graduate of Brooklyn Friends School and of Vassar College, where he received his BA in 1992, and where he played four years of college tennis and was team captain his senior year. Ben received his JD from Fordham University School of Law in 1999, and was admitted to the NYS and Washington DC Bars in 2000. During the summers of 1989 through 1992, Ben was a tennis director and coach at the Amagansett EastSide Tennis Club in Amagansett, NY (now SPORTIME Amagansett), the first club owned and operated by SPORTIME founder and Chief Executive Officer, Claude Okin. Between college and law school, Ben spent four years as an advocate and federal lobbyist for the Eastern Paralyzed Veteran Association. After law school, he was an associate at Seward & Kissel, LLP before rejoining the SPORTIME team in 2001.

Richard hails from Richmond, Virginia, and has over 20 years of professional experience as an elite athlete, performance coach, and athletic-wellness educator, working in numerous sports with athletes of all ages and levels. A graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, Richard spent six years as a writer/producer for the CBS Television Network before moving to Barcelona to train and compete on the European triathlon circuit. In Spain, he received a Masters in D'Eesport I D'atletisme iNutricio at Universal Atlético Institut and went on to build his own successful health and fitness business, boasting clients from the worlds of sports, TV and film. From numerous ATP and WTA players to top ITF juniors, Olympic, Junior Olympic, collegiate, and amateur athletes from around the globe, Richard provides a uniform, yet holistic and individualized approach to the vital role that strength and conditioning training, flexibility, injury prevention and nutrition play in creating a successful athlete, regardless of age or sport. Richard joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2014.

Dr. Stankovic was born in Serbia and raised in Niagara Falls, Canada, and later moved to Wakefield, Massachusetts. Dejan joins the SPORTIME/JMTA team as a sports psychologist with expertise in mindfulness, meditation and biofeedback. He is Board Certified in Biofeedback and is a member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (aapb.org), the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (bcia.org), and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (aasp.org). His publications include “Mindfulness Meditation Training for Tennis Players” and “Mindfulness Meditation Training as a Sports Psychology Technique”. In addition, Dr. Stankovic has presented his work at numerous national sports psychology conferences and national biofeedback conferences, and has taught sports psychology at high schools and to sports teams, including various women’s and men’s tennis teams, throughout the greater Boston area. Dr. Stankovic graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from St. Bonaventure University in 2007, a Master's Degree in Education, Counseling Psychology Specialization in Sports Psychology from Boston University in 2008, and received an Ed.D. from Boston University in 2015. He was an NCAA DI tennis player himself, and served as the Head Coach of the DI Boston University men’s tennis team. Dr. Stankovic joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2022.

Ofir, of Melville, N.Y., was Junior and Senior year captain at John F. Kennedy High School where he earned All-County Doubles honors in 2010 and 2012. He attended Fairfield University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Accounting. During freshman year, while playing for the Fairfield Stags, he lead the team with an overall singles record of 20-10 going 16-4 in dual play and 5-1 in the MAAC, eventually becoming the Team Captain. At the Junior Level he ranked within the east coast Top 20 and the Top 150 in the country. Ofir joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2017.

Randy earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Baruch College before joining SPORTIME in 1999. He was previously the General Manager of SPORTIME Bethpage Multi-Sport where he was instrumental in developing the SPORTIME Volleyball Club, which now trains over 500 competitive players each year. He is excited to branch out into the tennis and pickleball world as he takes on this new role in our company.

Ramiro, born in Osorno, Chile, emerged as a standout junior player in his home country, competing in various national tournaments. At the age of 18, he earned a scholarship to attend Grace College in Indiana, where he completed his undergraduate studies. During his time at Grace College, Ramiro demonstrated his exceptional tennis skills, earning the distinction of being a Crossroads League All-Conference player for two consecutive years in 2020 and 2021. The team's accomplishments during his tenure were equally remarkable, including qualifying for the NAIA nationals for the first time in over 15 years in 2021 and achieving the program's highest-ever national ranking of 15th. As of July 2023, Ramiro holds the record for the most wins in both singles and doubles in the history of Grace College tennis. He graduated with dual majors in International Business and Finance.

Lauren, a Long Island native, became a member of the Sportime family in 2013 as a full-time coach. With a background as a highly ranked junior player nationwide and earning All-State honors at Syosset High School, Lauren's talent and dedication were evident from a young age. She received a full scholarship to play Division I tennis at Towson University in Maryland. Throughout her coaching career, Lauren has amassed years of experience working with high-performance players, including NY state champions, US National Champions, and even competitors at the US Open. She has successfully organized and led camp programs across Long Island and will now bring her expertise to the JMTA programs at our newest site in Port Washington.

Hailing from Neuquen, Argentina, Francisco Diaz garnered success during his junior career, clinching the #1 rank in the Patagonia region and securing a prestigious top 20 national ranking in Argentina. Embracing the opportunity to compete for a Division 2 school in St. Louis, he made valuable contributions across both doubles and singles matches. With a Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance and an MBA from Lindenwood University, Francisco received the distinguished honor of being chosen for the all-conference team on three separate occasions. Francisco joined the Sportime team in 2022.

Anna, born in Kyiv, Ukraine, started playing tennis at the age of 7. She achieved top 20 rankings in all age categories and won multiple TE and ITF tournaments in singles and doubles. As a sparring partner for elite junior Ukrainian players, she honed her skills. Moving to the USA at 17, Anna spent two years at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before transferring to Mississippi College. A standout player in both universities, she contributed to wins against top teams in NCAA Division II. In her final college year, Anna served as a part-time assistant coach for the Mississippi Women's tennis team. Anna joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2023.

Vincent (Vince) was born and raised in Paris, France, where he participated in numerous junior national tournaments before moving to the U.S. For his inaugural collegiate season, he initially represented West Liberty University, earning a nomination for the Second Team All-Conference. He subsequently transferred to the Division I institution, Stonehill, to complete his undergraduate education in business. During his time at Stonehill, he received the honor roll distinction multiple times and achieved the ITA All-Academic Honors. Following this, Vince pursued his MBA while also playing tennis for the NAIA nationally ranked St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. Vince became a member of the Sportime team in 2022.

Paul Koenke, originally from Denver, Colorado, achieved a top 10 ranking in the USTA National Boys’ U16 and U18 Divisions, and won three USTA National Championships and six Intermountain Sectional Championships, as a junior. Paul played for DI Clemson University before transferring to DI Boise State University, where he achieved a career-high national ranking of #42 in doubles, and won the University of Virginia Fall Singles Classic in 2007. He then transferred to the University of Colorado, and graduated with a B.A in Communications. After college, Paul pursued his passion for tennis in New Zealand, excelling as a player and coach. He attained a ranking of #5 in the NZ national standings, while coaching players of all ages and levels, including top junior talent. Over the past 13 years, Paul has coached across the United States, including at the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy in Hilton Head, NC and the Snowmass Club in Aspen, CO, and spent the last 7 years as the Head Tennis Professional and Director of Junior Development at the Savannah Yacht Club in Savannah, GA. Recently, Paul has made a successful return to competitive tennis, securing two silver balls and two bronze balls in USTA National Men’s 35 and over events, and achieving a current national ranking of #7 in singles and #4 in doubles. Paul joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2023, and will be a presence at multiple JMTA sites, as well as at tournaments.

Hailing from the greater Boston area, Dave started playing and competing at an early age. He competed in USTA New England tournaments and achieved junior rankings in both singles and doubles. In High School, Dave was a 4-time Bay State Conference (BSC) All-Star, serving as team captain and helping his team win a BSC Championship. Dave went on to play Division I tennis at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he graduated with dual majors in Economics and International Relations. Dave went on to spend over 25 years in the business world before deciding to return to tennis and join Sportime in 2023.

A Louisville native, Alessandro's impressive junior tennis career included captaining the Ballard High School Tennis Team in his Junior year with a remarkable record of 48 wins and 18 losses. His leadership led the team to the state tournament in both Junior and Senior years. Alessandro's court skills garnered recognition on the Metro Louisville All Area Boys Tennis Team and the KYHSTCA All Regional Boys Tennis Team. He earned the MVP title in his senior year. Alessandro joined Sportime in Fall 2022.

Ken's lifelong commitment to tennis and his passion for the game are evident in his teaching approach. In 2022, Ken brought his expertise and leadership to the Sportime team.

Rong Ma, originally from China, combines a robust academic background with a distinguished tennis coaching career. Holding a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, complemented by an M.S. in Kinesiology and a B.S. in Exercise Sports Science, Rong's academic journey underscores his commitment to the fusion of sports and education. In the coaching arena, Rong's impact is profound: As Assistant Coach at Brigham Young University (BYU), he significantly contributed to the men's tennis team's success. His coaching prowess extended to the University of Hawaii's women's tennis team, and he showcased his versatility by coaching both men's and women's teams at both BYU & Hawaii. In 2012, he earned the ITA DII West Region Assistant Coach of the Year award. Rong joined the Sportime team in 2023.

Originally from Gela, Italy, Alessandra played for NCAA D1 Alcorn State for three years. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, where she earned a spot on the SWAC All-Tournament Team during her sophomore year. She decided to further her college career by transferring and playing at Tiffin University while pursuing her MBA in International Business. Alessandra played a key role in helping the team win the regular season championship for two consecutive years, and in their final year, they became tournament champions and she had an impressive 16-1 singles record. She was also selected for the Second Team All-Conference in both years. Alessandra joined the Sportime team in the summer of 2021 and currently holds a full-time position at Port Washington.

Diana, born in Cucuta, Colombia, excelled as Junior and won multiple national tournaments, ranked #1 in her region in the 12, 14, 16, & 18 categories, and eventually earned impressive rankings in the ITF and WTA. In college, Diana played for Jacksonville State University and the University of South Alabama, achieving notable match records. She later joined Auburn University at Montgomery as a graduate assistant coach and received academic recognition for her bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts and master's degree in Sport Management. Diana joined the SPORTIME/JMTA Team in 2023.

Anna, born in Kyiv, Ukraine, quickly established herself as a top junior tennis player, winning multiple national championships and achieving a top 100 ranking on the Tennis Europe tour. She transitioned to professional play at 16, earning WTA points in singles and doubles. Moving to the United States at 17, Anna pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration & Management and Marketing, followed by a Master's degree in Finance and Organizational Leadership at the University of Indianapolis. In college, she excelled as a regional champion in doubles, achieved national rankings of #5 in singles and #1 in doubles, and secured conference and regional titles. Notably, Anna won the ITA indoor national NCAA D2 championship and received prestigious honors, including ITA National Women's Tennis Player to Watch and ITA National Women's Tennis Senior of the Year. She was also recognized as a conference player and earned multiple D2 All-American distinctions. Anna joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2023.

Federico, originally from Verona, Italy, achieved national and international success as a junior player with top rankings in his home country, Tennis Europe, and ITF Junior. He played Division I tennis at Old Dominion University and later transferred to Norfolk State University, where he excelled as a position one player in singles and doubles. Federico was named MVP player in 2022 and 2023. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in business information systems, he also gained coaching experience during his college years. Federico joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2023.

Claudia Rodriguez Nieto hails from the Canary Islands, Tenerife. Her academic pursuits led her to Lincoln Memorial University, where she dedicated all four years to both her studies and tennis. She majored in marketing and advertising, showcasing her multifaceted talents. Claudia brings a wealth of experience to the table and joined the Sportime family in 2022.

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Isabella Pinto's academic journey took her from Universidade Estadual De Londrina in Londrina, Brazil to the United States. Recruited by Auburn University at Montgomery in 2019, Isabella graduated in Kinesiology with a minor in strength and conditioning. Her time at AUM was marked by notable achievements: in 2021, she posted an 8-4 singles record, and in 2022, she achieved a 4-0 singles record and a 12-9 doubles record. Her senior year saw a 7-2 singles record and a 13-5 doubles record, contributing to her team's impressive No. 18 ranking in the ITA Rankings. Isabella joined the Sportime team in 2023.

Ilya Skobelev, hailing from Rostov-on-Don, Russia, made his mark in tennis at a young age, earning a top 100 national ranking in his home country by the age of 16. He began his collegiate journey at North Carolina Wesleyan College before transferring to Shaw University, where he received a full athletic scholarship and assumed the role of Captain on the tennis team. In his pursuit of excellence, Ilya also delved into the study of exercise science, enriching his understanding of tennis training methodologies. Ilya joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in 2023.

Originally from Mineola, NY, Karl Sommer holds a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health from Slippery Rock University. Recognized for his 35 years of service to the USPTA, Karl's dedication to the sport is evident. His commitment was highlighted in 1998 when he was honored as the USPTA and USTA Teaching Professional of the Year. Roughly 20 years ago, Karl served as the Director of Tennis at SPORTIME Syosset before taking a decade-long hiatus from the organization. Now, he has returned with full force, contributing his extensive tennis knowledge and expertise to our staff. His primary focus lies on our U10 players. Reuniting with the Sportime family in 2022, Karl's passion for the game continues to make a significant impact.

Vicente Tricio Valdes was born in Vina Del Mar, Chile and started his tennis career in Santiago, Chile. He was a top ranked junior player earning a spot in the top 20 in Chile at the age of 16. Vicente was actively recruited to play tennis in the United States and pursued his career at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. While receiving a bachelor’s degree in business and administration, Vicente spent the summers working for Stanford University in Palo Alto, California where he gained experience coaching and developing top tennis players. Vicente joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team in January of 2023.

Jill has led teams and built the business for a variety of specialty retailers throughout her career. From a strong apparel background, including Kenneth Cole, Jacadi, and Hot Topic, she moved into hard lines with Yankee Candle. After 10 years of moving the business forward at Yankee and Newell Brands, it was time for a new challenge. Jill is looking forward to building teams in our Pro Shops that serve as ambassadors for the SPORTIME and JMTA brands. Jill lives in Oyster Bay, NY and will be ensuring we exceed our players and members needs in all of our locations. She is also very much looking forward to tuning up her tennis game in the fall, and seeing what the sport of pickleball has to offer!
