SPORTIME Lake Isle - John McEnroe Tennis Academy (JMTA), Westchester
This SPORTIME Club, located on the grounds of the beautiful Lake Isle Country Club in the Town of Eastchester, in Lower Westchester, features eight indoor/outdoor Har-Tru, soft-surface, tennis courts, three of which convert into six “hybrid” pickleball courts, all enclosed in climate controlled air-structures during the indoor season and outdoors during the summer months, when all courts are lighted for evening play. The club was constructed by SPORTIME in 2011 and features a modern, two-level clubhouse, an athletic training center for group and private sport-specific training, a well-stocked pro shop, and comfortable lobby/lounge and locker rooms that make it easy to relax after play and to spectate and socialize.
SPORTIME Lake Isle also operates the six newly re-constructed outdoor, hard-surface, tennis courts, and four new pickleball courts, at nearby Leewood Park, Eastchester, where SPORTIME offers a schedule of tennis and pickleball programming, as well as private lessons!
Open 365 days a year, SPORTIME Lake Isle offers SPORTIME’s proprietary group instructional and competitive tennis, pickleball and athletic training programs, including JMTA, as well as summer and school-break camps, for juniors and adults of all ages and levels, provided by our team of world-class directors and coaches. Our group and private coaching emphasizes both technical skill-building and on-court strategy, and the importance of developing complete players. With our “games approach”, SPORTIME students learn how to play tennis and pickleball from day-one. Seasonal and hourly court rentals are available, and our active member/player community, and game arranging service, make it easy to meet new partners and friends who share your tennis and/or pickleball passion.
Non-members can participate in certain activities at SPORTIME Lake Isle, including camps, some introductory programs, and court-time rental at non-discounted rates. SPORTIME members are able to access our full menu of programs and services, including JMTA training, and all that the club and SPORTIME have to offer, with reciprocal privileges at other designated SPORTIME clubs, discounted court-time, and many other great membership benefits. Adult EXCEL Tennis
SPORTIME’s version of tennis boot camp. ADULT EXCEL is for 3.5+ men and women who are serious about improving their skills and total fitness. ADULT EXCEL focuses on the tennis “nuts and bolts”: foot-work, concentration, consistency, ball control, strategy and tactics.

Seasonal Tennis Court Time
Seasonal tennis court-time rentals allow avid players consistent play during the indoor season. Individuals or groups are able to plan and schedule their tennis in advance, ensuring that they have dedicated court-time without the hassle of competing for availability on a day-to-day basis.
Ages: Adults
MAC Orange One
Orange One players transition to the larger Orange Court (60’) and the full-sized net, using both red balls and orange balls that move faster and bounce higher, making tracking and movement more challenging. Tactical sophistication increases, and technique continues to evolve, to meet the demands of the larger court and to match growing physical capabilities.
Ages: 7 - 9
MAC Orange Two
Now more confident, Orange Two players start to master patterns and begin to understand their own strengths and weaknesses. Each shot is now hit with the intention of challenging the opponent. Tactical skills include decision making, taking time away from the opponent and increasing intensity of play. In Orange Two, there is increased focus on developing the athletic, movement and balance skills that form the foundation of technical development, and that are essential for playing high-level tennis.
Ages: 7 - 10
MAC Red Two
In MAC Red Two, players continue on the Red Court, refine strokes, and begin linking shots together and developing more advanced technical skills, including learning how to deal with spin and speed. Our mission is to develop players that love to play and compete, so MAC Red Two players continue to compete in SPORTIME World Tour events. Athletic Training for MAC Red Levels: Age appropriate athletic training, designed by JMTA’s Athletic Performance Department, is incorporated into on-court training for MAC Red Two players. Ages: 5 - 8
MAC Red One
Designed for young players just starting to play the game. Using the appropriate-sized Red Court (36’) and ball (low compression red), MAC Red One players learn to serve, rally and score on the Red Court over a lower net. Actually playing the game from the start increases our youngest players’ motivation to learn and to commit to acquiring new skills, and minimizes frustration. MAC Red One players compete in SPORTIME World Tour events. Age appropriate athletic training, designed by JMTA’s Athletic Performance Department, is incorporated into on-court training for MAC Red One players.
