JMTA College Recruiting Combine 2025 Event Recap

What an incredible weekend, filled with energy, competition, and opportunity - all at the 2025 JMTA College Combine at SPORTIME Port Washington!  

Over the course of two days, players from around the world, including many of the top prospects from New York and from within the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, were able to showcase their tennis and athletic skills, as well as their commitment, grit and ambition, in hopes of impressing top college coaches and making meaningful connections that could help to shape their tennis futures. 

With two days of UTR match play, detailed Tennis Analytics match reports, and informational sessions led by our amazing JMTA College Navigator partners - Novella Prep, Keystone Sports, and the College Planning Alliance, athletes walked away with both valuable competitive experience and a meaningfully clearer understanding of the college tennis recruiting process. Participants reported feeling more confident, informed, and ready for next steps, both on and off the court. 

With over 130 college coaches watching, both in-person and virtually, Combine participants got to face, and to embrace, some for the first time, the pressures and opportunities of the recruiting process. A weekend highlight of the Combine is always the college coaches panel, where the players have a chance to pick the brains of some of the top tennis minds anywhere. This year, it seemed like all 75 Combine players had a list of burning questions during the panel, which led to many informative follow-up conversations with the on-site coaches throughout the weekend.

Thanks to everyone who made Combine weekend so special - the players, parents, coaches, partners, sponsors, and the amazing SPORTIME/JMTA staff who make it all happen. We all got to celebrate the bright future of college tennis.
