Yelizaveta Karlova

Yelizaveta, originally from Almaty, Kazakhstan, began playing tennis at the age of six and achieved career-high rankings of #3 in Asia in the U14 division and #1 in the U16 division. She also achieved a career-high ITF Junior ranking of #119, advanced to the semifinals of the Orange Bowl in the U16 division, and competed in the 2020 Australian Open Junior Championship. Beginning in 2021, Yelizaveta attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she played at the top of the lineup in both singles and doubles for all four seasons. She earned a career-high ITA doubles ranking of #47, was a two-time All-Atlantic 10 First Team selection, and helped lead VCU to Atlantic 10 Conference Championships in 2022 and 2025. Yelizaveta earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from VCU in 2025, and joined the SPORTIME/JMTA team later that year.
