Tennis legend John McEnroe has teamed up with SPORTIME to create the
John McEnroe Tennis Academy at SPORTIME's new $19 million tennis center
on Randall's Island in Manhattan. At the Academy, John and his hand-picked
staff of world class, international pros have well laid plans to develop future
American junior, collegiate and professional champions. John is looking for
one special, junior boy and one special, junior girl, who represent the spirit
and promise of the McEnroe Academy, each of whom will be awarded a full
annual scholarship for the 2010-2011 Academy year, starting in September 2010.

You do not need to be a top player to try out. But you do need to have the
motivation and work-ethic to become one, along with a love for the game of
tennis. Separate tryouts for boys and girls will be held on two dates in July.
And all boys and girls tryout finalists will be invited to stay for star-studded
NY Sportimes' World TeamTennis matches on the evenings of their tryouts.
Boys finalists will have a chance to meet John and Andy Roddick on the 14th,
and girls will get to meet John, Kim Clijsters and Martina Hingis on the 19th.

Grand Prize Scholarship award will include one full year of
free programming: a minimum of two weekly training sessions
and one match-play or ladder session during the indoor season
and the 5-day a week Academy summer camp during the
outdoor season.
